@warmerdamj: I second that. In the Nimby 50 every year the descent is sponsored by Red Bull and the same XC climbing phenoms who kick my ass going up also put up some stunning times on Overnight Sensation. These guys/girls slay both up and down. Respect!

That Kiwi lost his shit alright. One of the worst displays I have seen in along time. Bad sportsmanship does not even come close. Even roadies behave better, mind you he is riding on the road race as well, so maybe I am getting confused. His later apology was decidedly unconvincing as well

Agreed. Anton comes across as all class, and Gaze comes across as douche. Seems Gaze has been made aware that it's more than winning that gets/keeps sponsor dollars.

The live tv broadcast was amazing. pretty much the entire track was covered by cameras. I saw someone interviewed that said that there was over 40km of cable required to join the cameras and broadcast equipment.
