"let my ibis do the job" lol
  • 43 0
That seemed almost scripted, it was so perfect.
  • 62 4
Could we do a Yeti Fails Friday next week? We would AAAALLLLLL enjoy that.
  • 20 1
@rrolly: Even the dentists - with all the broken teeth, they'd do OK out of it.
  • 1 0
@DarrellW: They're already doing good as is Big Grin
  • 10 3
Ibis is obviously not keen on doing the job!
  • 53 1
He probably stil wonders how come he didn't ride like Jeff Kendall-Weed. Probably too much weed and not enough kendall Wink
  • 10 0
It sounds like Rolph from Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
  • 26 1
Ibis can’t do its job if you don’t do your job
  • 44 1
@rrolly: Yeti riders love the attention, even if it's for the FAILS Smile (Own an SB100 myself- full dentist build! and I ride exactly as badly as you'd think.)
  • 5 0
 It didn't do the job
  • 16 0
The commentary seems to suggest he was coaching people? Jeez I hope not
  • 16 0
 Ibis, you’re fired!
  • 8 0
"I always come unclipped when I crash" - as they are upside down.
  • 7 1
 Bad Ibis!
  • 8 0
Bro that accent on top of it was priceless!! That had me rolling
  • 6 2
 IBIS: "Go F@#k yourself"
  • 40 0
 R.I.P. mo
  • 4 0
Is that horrible sound his Ibis screaming?
  • 2 0
 Somebody's gotta meme this.
  • 1 0
Yeah, that Ibis certainly did a job on him.
  • 2 0
You mean just have a video of all the Broken yetis around the world? Would be way too long @rrolly:
  • 2 0
 4 foot drops strike back!
  • 2 0
Haha that clip really put the RIP into Ripmo...
  • 115 3
I think its funny that PB lumps in guys with legitimate trick attempts along with guys who nosedive off of 3 foot drops. I don't consider a well executed bail from a backflip attempt a fail...
  • 45 1
Some people fail, and others fail with style.
  • 12 0
@schlockinz: I was full sure that the guy as 2:48 was gonna pull off the most elegant bail in the history of elegant bails. Sadly, it wasn’t his day.
  • 4 0
there should be a special category for the non pulling 3 feet drop failers... Dropfailers maybe?
  • 8 0
@ODubhslaine: he started well - the leg extension of a hurdler, impressive stuff - but ended up meekly flopping about on his back on top of the next jump. colour me disappointed.
  • 7 0
Amen! There are fails and then there are just "guys learning jump tricks". Totally different categories.
  • 7 0
@wareagle4130: but gravity treats us all the same
  • 3 0
@schlockinz: some people fail, the rest flail.
  • 4 0
@Doradora: I think some of these riders don't really know how gravity works.
  • 2 0
I really do hate seeing a "missed trick" categorized as a fail.
  • 3 0
Yep. When I saw that one I thought: I wish I could fail a backflip like that. But OK, the trick failed to execute completely. So that's a fail. And then there are those who simply fail at correctly operating a bike. All in one vid.
  • 1 0
@RonSauce: there is a little grey area in that idea though. If I boost off a huge booter and attempt a backflip barspin.. it will definitely end up in the category of a fail!
  • 3 0
@RonSauce: Kid in the foam pit is the exception to your rule.
  • 48 0
Those people who vandalize trails have really taken it a bit too far when they start building fences like the one at 2:09, rather than just blocking trails with branches..
  • 7 0
 Yup, feature building fails!
  • 22 0
 That wall ride looks terrifying
  • 18 0
@yinyang: Oh, I'm sure it's fine, just come in at ~50mph and be able to bench at least 3 bills and squat 4 so you don't get compressed through your bike.
  • 2 0
 Is that....Is that trex?
  • 8 0
This feature was built after local groms were cutting through the bush & compromising the trail zone which council poured alot of money into. It's basically a 'yeah? Well, f*ck you" from Trailscapes who are the builders. And rightly so TBH
  • 2 0
@CRAFTY-P: that's a lot of money and time for a 'f*ck you'... where is this silly fence again?
  • 1 0
 @SoddenDeath: bottom of Andos
  • 2 0
@CRAFTY-P: I had to go back and have a second look, it's similar to the double wooden berms at the Pemberton Mountain Bike Park in Western Australia which were built by 3 Chilli's.
  • 43 0
not a good week in the ibis marketing department
  • 49 0
"Despite riding Ibises, they soon discovered that it's more about the rider than the bike." David Attenborough
  • 13 0
@SoddenDeath: Is it Ibises or Ibi?
  • 2 0
 @JXN1: Ibi dreams of pavement
  • 1 0
@JXN1: Ibi certainly has a nice ring to it
  • 38 11
It would be really cool if these crash reals were commentated and reviewed by someone like Ben Cathro. Each crash could be broken down to skill gap and the proper technique to fix the problem is explained and demonstrated.
  • 28 2
That destroys the whole spirit of Friday fails. We're looking for laughs, not to be told what to do
  • 19 0
@Ajorda: How Mike Levy narrates to just mock them and laugh at them?
  • 3 1
@showmethemountains: Now that's something I can get behind.
  • 9 0
 Ozzy Man Reviews anyone?
  • 23 0
My 4 year and I can't stop laughing at how well that Ibis did its job
  • 19 2
Friday Fails, where we get to see the $10k bike riding commenters who obsess over every component, yet can't even do a simple drop. Smile
  • 3 1
 Yep, blows my mind.
  • 7 0
They should've went with the XX1 instead of the X01 build...
  • 15 0
Announcing the new Ibis FlipMo! Specially designed to do the job of hitting the tree first, so you don't have to...
  • 15 1
We need 2 friday fail videos each week:
1. Riding Fail Landscape
2. Riding and Filming Fail Portrait.
  • 6 0
With a Pinkbike portrait format filter perhaps - just like they do for e-bike content.
  • 15 0
 #letmyibisdothejob
  • 14 0
when you let your ibis do the job
  • 10 1
Dude at 2:45 now has a vagina
  • 8 0
 RIP to his taint
  • 14 1
 Rectum darn near killed him.
  • 8 0
Riding into the ocotillo in NEVER a good idea.
  • 3 0
That's the spine covered plant in the second one, right? That looked so painful.
  • 3 0
He didn't just ride into the ocotillo, he nearly ate the damn thing.
  • 3 0
 Ocotillo, it's what's for lunch.
  • 1 0
I'd rather run into razor wire
  • 7 0
Dude got whipped hard across the back. There are probably pictures of his scars in some obscure all-cactus medical journal.
  • 7 0
Why is is so many damn people just slowly ride off drops/ledges at barely a walking pace??? Big Grin
  • 7 0
Don't forget the halfhearted last minute yank on their bars before resigning themselves to their dates!
  • 3 0
 Fates, sorry.
  • 6 0
We've probably all done it Big Grin I know I have in my early days.
  • 3 0
@TreeBeak: Ugh I almost died yesterday on this awkward 3 footer that is super janky to try and roll, but is also slightly uphill and blind with the landing being a pile of rocks. It is my new nemesis despite not being one of the biggest features I ride.
  • 1 0
Looks like he was also dragging his rear brake
  • 3 0
You can pick the guys who are about to go over the bars in these vids from a mile off.
  • 1 0
@friendlyfoe: Hehe Smile Things we do! Still stuck in lockdown mostly over here so no gnar for the present sadly.
  • 4 0
I think in their minds it’s like slower is safer...obviously not. it takes a lot more skills to drop at sub walking speed
  • 4 0
@freerabbit: As they say, don't let fear and common sense hold you back Wink
  • 3 0
@freerabbit: Guess its that "if i go slower it will hurt less" mind train Smile
  • 2 0
@friendlyfoe: Truly Big Grin I evny those that can switch those "do-gooder" instincts off when some serious gnar is presented.
  • 1 0
@TreeBeak: I crashed so much my first year of park. Every day was progression.
  • 6 0
Whenever there's a frame stuck in a tree at the jump line start... take that as an omen that sh!t is about to go horribly wrong for you. Smile
  • 7 0
I'd like to warranty my Ripmo please.
  • 5 0
 Just riding along when....
  • 10 0
It didn’t do its job, it’s defected
  • 6 0
Just fuckin yeet that Ibis into a tree...
  • 5 0
Rear tire bum touches with 29ers is a real thing and seems to be causing lots of OTB moments. Should issue a safety recall.
  • 1 0
 Mullets ftw!
  • 3 0
Now... I know that there will certainly be a rationale behind the frame hanging on a branch at 2:39. Nevertheless, it's weird af.
  • 3 0
The person at 2.45 lol. First getting sucked into the back wheel then immediately slamming into the next jump like its a concrete wall.
  • 1 0
If the camera had been on I would have a great fail to send in. Just did a lap of the hometrails. Everything went well, sent all the drops. Then at home I did't notice that the garage door was not completely up. Hit me above the visor and mowed me right of the bike at some speed.
  • 4 0
"Let my Ibis do the job!!", indeed........
  • 3 0
1:45 There are bacteria that could have predicted that faceplant Big Grin DDD Hope he's ok.
  • 3 0
Guessing his ass hit the back tire before going off the ledge, resulting in an immediate nose dive.
  • 2 0
I think that dude is still tumbling down the hill! Like that scene in Hot Rod.
  • 1 0
Half hearted, huck-to-head, is never catching on!
  • 1 0
Not sure how much content they get for this but if the bike parks don’t open, Friday fails is going to get thin in content.
  • 3 0
Nose case at 2:18 is so bad!
  • 3 0
 Is that Sasquatch at 2:24?
  • 1 0
 Squatch Lives!
  • 1 0
It's a shame that the guy who crashed was so busy staring at his front wheel that he never saw him...
  • 2 0
Pinkbike should also do a Wednesday wins compilation
  • 1 0
That attempted shoulder tackle of the kicker... in slow motion... my rotator cuff hurts just thinking of it.
  • 1 0
I'm watching Friday fails with a broken ankle, I don't know how to feel about this. should've had a go pro?
  • 1 0
 3:11 - mom,mom,mom,mom. I'm going to do a back flip

3:16 - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I mean front flip.........
  • 1 0
That last dude got more air from the landing than he did from the take off.
  • 1 0
Are those clips or clipless at 0:40? His feet stick to the pedals all the way through the crash... impressive
  • 1 0
I’ll Ike the OTB near the one minute mark. He checks his soothe tension to see if that was the cause of the wreck!!
  • 1 0
It is like when Olly said "roll it" the Deakin when actually it was not a roller
  • 1 0
 What is happening at 3:15?!
  • 2 0
Weight too far back, buzzed his ass on the tire leading to involuntary front flip.
  • 1 0
"Let my Ibis do the.... FUUUUCKKK!!!"
  • 1 0
Who is cutting these? A lot of mistakes lately
  • 1 0
Looked like a cat at 2:50 thought he was going to save it.
  • 2 1
What on earth happened to the 2nd last one into the foam pit?
  • 1 1
My guess is that was a cheater ramp for doing front flips and his back tire hooked the lip of the hinged kicker that gets knocked down by the front wheel and is supposed to push the back wheel up for momentum to aid in doing the front flip.
  • 4 0
 Lack of body strength...
  • 4 0
It looks like he moved back so far his but hit the rear tire. It locked up and the bike stopped. He then went over the bars. It's actually really common, especially on drops, when riders are scared and get too far back.
  • 6 0
He was way in the back seat, and as soon as he hit the transition his legs collapsed and put his ass and crotch right into the rear wheel. Ass and crotch get sucked into the the small space between the seat, seat stays, and tire, causing the back wheel to stop instantaneously right at the lip of the ramp under full weight compression, which then causes him to eject out the front door and go over the bars in front flip fashion.
  • 1 0
 This one made my day
  • 1 0
@dfiler: square body, square bike, no fear. Fear will kill ya
  • 1 0
1:10 your head thanks you for investing in a helmet. Good job!
  • 1 0
Man, that really was a symphony of suckage.
  • 1 0
49 seconds .... not Jeff Kendall Weed. Definitely.
  • 1 0
That dude on the Gambler should get into dance. That crash was poetic!
  • 1 0
yeti owners flexing with their bike again
  • 1 0
This week's slo-mo shots brought to you by Michael Bay!
  • 1 0
what happened in that foam pit? ha
  • 1 0
The job that Ibis had to do was a vasectomy?
  • 1 0
None of the crashes ever really look bad.
  • 1 1
2:42 have never seen such long and dramatic love scene with balls and the stem
  • 1 0
Can certainly agree that the terms Sphere, ovid, ball, plum or indeed nut are no longer applicable in his case.....
  • 1 0
The foam pit made me shart Hahahaha
  • 1 0
That one where the bike nails the camera
  • 1 0
this looks like everyone's first week on their new covid-check bikes
  • 1 0
How to tear your rotator cuff tutorial at 2:55
  • 1 0
Hahaha 2.14 the dude on the wallride
  • 1 0
Second guy Yeti anti squatted/pedal kickbacked himself into oblivion.
  • 1 0
 "Ohhh Shooot" hahaha
  • 1 0
 2:55 is godly
  • 4 7
I’ll never understand the appeal of gaps.
  • 13 0
Have you built jumps before? Building a 30 foot table top takes a lot of dirt.
  • 2 1
@blkmrktrider156: or a few junk cars
  • 7 0
The lip of the jump stays clean because people can't roll the jump.
  • 5 0
@blkmrktrider156: As a fairly unskilled 42 year old, I can see the appeal of building them. But riding them? Not unless the gap is really really short.
  • 1 0
 It’s all about commitment.
  • 1 0
@BiNARYBiKE: and as an old sack: saving your teeth and general health... Rowdy, steep and technical trails yes. Gaps, no.
  • 1 0
@whiteboarder: That's the funny thing. As long as you build up to the size, stay relaxed and commit to going fast enough, they're really quite safe. I've had far nasty crashes over the years on those rowdy, steep, technical trails then on buff trails with big gap jumps. If you're hucking your meat and just hoping for the best, like so many in these Friday Fails videos, that's another story.
  • 1 0
@BiNARYBiKE: and kinematic physics equations. That is how the pros do it. Actually measure speed and angle and calculate distance. It is not just by feel. Equations are simple algebra.
  • 1 0
@BiNARYBiKE: I slipped a pedal once going up the lip in the middle of a long jumpline. I probably could've recovered if I'd kept my wits about me and pulled off a one footer, instead I kind of.just sat down and hoped for the best. Landed straight on my head. Went straight to the chiro for cheap xrays to see if I'd fractured a vertebrae. Bailing would've been a much better option, I've always sucked at bailing though, always trying to ride her all the way to the ground...
