Dec 12, 2017Salsa Timberjack 27.5+ GX1 Size MD Upgraded
$1200 USD2017 Salsa Timberjack 27.5+ GX1 size MD with a couple nice upgrades. A note on sizing, this bike is long so recommended rider height per Salsa is 5'8" to 6'0" (I normally ride a LG). LOW miles on this bike (embarassingly low - fewer than 100, I'll tell you how many fewer after you buy the bike). Only reason I'm selling is I decided I had to have a 2018 Timberjack SLX...
This comes with upgraded brakes and tires. Brakes are a fairly significant upgrade from SRAM Level (lol) to Shimano Deore. I'll even throw in the original SRAM Level brakes (front needs bled) if you want to prank a friend by installing them on their bike. Tires are Maxxis Recon 27.5" x 2.8". Tires and brakes come off my 2018 Timberjack SLX and are essentially brand new.
The rest of the parts are stock from the 2017 build. The seatpost + saddle, handlebar + grips weren't used as I swapped on aftermarket stuff. The tires were taped and setup tubeless, but I swapped the tires and tubes from the new bike so it's not currently tubeless. All you'll need is sealant and valve stems and you're set.
2017 build kit http://salsacycles.com/.../archive/2017_timberjack_27.5plus_x1
$1,200 OBO, buyer pays shipping. These sold out very rapidly last year and I've seen very few for sale on the secondary market. The GX1 build is very similar this year, so grab this one with upgraded brakes and tires for less than new!

Jul 31, 2016Salsa Deadwood Large 29+
$2200 USD2016 Salsa Deadwood, size large/20". Stock with the exception of Panaracer Fat B Nimble 29" x 3" tires and bar tape. Embarrassingly low number of miles on this bike (seriously, less than 200). Minor nicks in the paint as shown in pics.
This is basically a 29+ Fargo, and that it's a limited-run model that is not being continued in 2017. Only reason I'm selling is because the new Fargo checks all the boxes for me, and it'll be a lot more cost effective than modifying this... I'm not desperate to sell, worst case scenario I keep it and spend more to convert it to 1x :-D
Does not come with pedals, bags, or water bottle cages. Comes with unused stock WTB Pure V saddle rather than saddle in pictures. Will ship at buyers' expense.

May 6, 2015Kona Taro Upgraded
$1000 USD2014 Kona Taro for sale. 18.5" so straddles M/L. I'm 6' and fit fine. I bought this for a 27.5+ conversion but couldn't fit 3.25" tires on a 50mm rim, so I lost interest. I already have a 29er hardtail so this bike has to go. Previous owner replaced frame under warranty and the front wheel.
COMPONENTS:
Frame: Kona Taro
Fork: Rock Shox Sektor 120mm travel
Drivetrain: Shimano XT 1x9 (36t big cog so it's got some range/32 Race Face chainring)
Crank: Shimano XT
Front wheel: WTB i23 team
Back wheel: WTB Frequency i23
Brakes: SRAM Elixir R (brakes bled at the end of last season, very little riding since)
Tires: Maxxis Ardent 29x2.4F/2.2R

Jan 7, 2015Hope M4 Evo Brakeset w/ Rotors and Mounts
$350 USDHope M4 Evo brakeset, purchased new in 2013, comes with all necessary mounts for PM/IS front and IS rear, 183mm and 160mm floating rotors. Decided I prefer Shimano and bought some XTs. I have changed the pads and the rotors in the time I've had them. $350/obo, shipping included (compare to new model Tech 3 E4 is $500+ before shipping).

Nov 12, 2014Surly Moonlander Fat Bike Large new parts
$1600 USDPrice Drop: $1600/obo!
2013 Surly Moonlander in discontinued and awesome space black, size large. This is the model with the front offset fork (the front and rear wheels can be swapped, like the Pugsley). Long story short, I bought this last summer and upgraded a bunch of parts/set it up tubeless, and rode it last winter. Now I recently bought a Specialized Fatboy and swapped over the stuff I wanted to keep, and put the new parts from the Fatboy on the Moonlander. They have only been ridden around the block a few times to make sure everything is adjusted, and they are better than what came on the Moonlander stock. I looked it over and there is no damage to the frame other than superficial scratches and some surface rust in some spots (cable mounts, etc). I had this bike overhauled this spring and the bearings in the bottom bracket were replaced. I would prefer to sell locally but will consider shipping if buyer pays packaging and shipping cost (it will be expensive). $1600/obo.
Parts List:
Shimano XT rear hub
Surly front hub
100mm Surly Clownshoe rims w/ cutouts
60mm Truvativ AKA stem
Surly MWOD crankset with 22/36 chainrings and bash
Shimano SLX front derailleur
generic pedals, seatpost, and seat
New Parts:
Specialized, low rise, double butted 6061 alloy, 9-degree backsweep, 5-degree upsweep, 15mm rise, 31.8mm handlebars (wide too, 700+ mm I think)
Tektro Gemini brakes, hydraulic disc, resin pads
SRAM X7 Type 2 rear derailleur, 10-speed, medium cage
SRAM S-Series shift levers, Grip Shift, 10-speed
Sunrace cassette, 10-speed, 11-36
KMC X10L chain, 10-speed, reusable Missing Link
Specialized Ground Control tires, 120TPI, folding bead, 26x4.6" set up tubeless
