Looks amazing, yet will the aluminum model still be available for people that fall a lot?

Why do brands make DH bikes with stupid slack seat angles? If you want to run the saddle low instead of XC level you can't without destroying your seat at bottom out!

well then you must need a smaller frame size . These bikes are made perfect now a days . get a Small if you like lower seats .

The massive offset of the seat tube was specifically designed so you can almost drop the seat down to the clamp. Of course you'll need to push it a bit forward on the rails, and than you should be fine with all the can-cans, or any other reason you have for running the seat super low.

@dh-bomber: I don't like riding with the seat hitting my ass all the time that is all. Enduro/trail bikes have steep seat angles for climbing and they don't suffer from that when you ride them DH. Slack seat angles will affect small frames just as badly.

I don't think you understand the idea behind slack posts. It is like that to help avoid tire rub when the seat is low. As the seat is lowered, it travels further forward (away from the tire). If you want to run it higher, you can and it provides more room in the cockpit. If it was steep the seat would be in a terrible position.

@SintraFreeride: if your ass is hitting your seat you have very bad riding style. I’ve never once had my seat hit me in the ass on a downhill even before dropper posts. Lean back bud.

@JamesBarton: That might be true for some designs but not most. The slack seat angle on the Scott Gambler forces you to run the saddle super high or else you will bottom out on the seat.

@EnduroFan84: My ass hits the seat on bikes with slack seat angles where you have too run the seat super high or else it hits the tire near bottom out. It doesn't happen on other bikes. Leaning back on said bikes will not solve the fact that the seat is still in the way nor allow you to lower your center of gravity.
